Expert support on the battlefield

During World War II, the British Army used various types of civilian vans for military service. These "Light Utility Cars", regardless of make or year of production, were all put into service and were affectionately called "Tilly" by British personnel. The average "Light Utility Car" was equipped with a 30 hp engine and could be seen on various fronts. In the second half of World War II, other vehicles took over, but the Tilly continued to run until the end of the Great War, supporting Allied forces in various airfield and communications roles.
